The Worldwide Malaria Epidemic
A human being dies every 30 seconds from malaria. Estimates now suggest that more than 500 million people worldwide have the disease, making it the number one killer in the world today. Morbidity reports indicate that most of the malaria-diagnosed deaths occur with pregnant women and children. While the disease is non-existent in the U.S., it continues to proliferate in tropical
environments throughout the world, most prominently in Africa, Asia, Central and South America.
Artemisinin History
Artemisinin is an extract of the Chinese Artemisia Annua plant that has been used by the Chinese to treat fever for more than 2000 years. Clinical tests began on the plant during the active antibiotic era of the 1940s. After years of development and enhancement by the Chinese, Artemisinin was officially declared a treatment for malaria in the late 1960s. It was used in the Vietnam War to treat communist-backed Viet Cong soldiers in the war against the U.S. The strategic importance of the cure in this environment, partially explains the delayed knowledge of the cure and its availability in the Western hemisphere.
ActRx Limited, Hong Kong
ActRx Limited, a Hong Kong based company has completed an exclusive branded product line from an evolved scientific effort to find the cure for all three types of Malaria. In addition a product for the treatment of Dengue Fever and Yellow Fever has also been developed with remarkable effectiveness.
ActRx Products
ActRx Limited has officially named the new product line ActRx, after the new ACT (Artemisinin Combination Therapy) protocol mandated by the WHO (World Health Organization) for the cure of Malaria in 2007. ACT replaces previous quinine-based and other damaging and ineffective solutions in the battle against increasingly resistant strains of the malaria parasite. ACTs are the only remedies that answer the WHO’s demand for complete elimination of the parasite in less than three days. Additionally, ACTs achieve these results with low or no toxicity or any observable side-effects.
The ActRx Adult Treatment is an easily compliant package of tablets taken orally over four days. Immediate positive results take effect within the first few hours after treatment. ActRx reduces the symptoms and clears the Malaria parasite. For babies and young children (who are at immediate mortal risk) there is an Artemisinin water-soluble injection for comatose individuals and a powder formula which is easily assimilated and immediately effective within 24 hours.
